Making a Dave’s House home complete

Our residents are successful in maintaining wellness in large part because of the ongoing, life-long support of their Case Managers. These professionals make sure our residents stay on the path toward full and supported self-sustainability.

As Pery Canan, director of shared meals for Hope South Florida, points out, a case manager is “someone they can count on.” That’s a very basic need that means the world for our residents who have faced many major obstacles and dilemmas in their lives. Hear his thoughts on being a case manager in the video above.

Other case management services include medication evaluation and treatment; mental health/substance abuse treatment; 24-hour/365-days-a-year crisis intervention and stabilization services; day support programming and vocational services; and life skills training.

Residents of both our Scattered Site Single Family Homes and our Dave’s Housing First programs receive ongoing mental health support services through our behavioral healthcare partners including Henderson Behavioral Health, Hope South Florida, Aspire Health Partners and Pathway Homes of Florida and Virginia. Dave’s House also coordinates with other well-being service providers to assist residents.
