Mader Southeast Creating Home Gardens

To grow our gardening Dave’s House 360° Resident Development Program, Mader Southeast is building raised home garden beds for the residents of our Orlando homes. Mader Foreman Richard “Pappy” Dana recently built some for his wife; she loves them so much, he thought they would be a great addition for our residents. The planter separate beds give added flexibility in crop decisions, including moving or removing certain herbs and plants depending on weather conditions or other issues.

Brad Jones from Edible Education Experience (EEE) will advise the residents on which foods and herbs to plant and how to maintain them. Thank you, Brad, and everyone at Edible Education Experience!

We thank everyone at Mader Southeast, including Dave’s House Board Member Timothy Bernardi, Ted Sivard, Adam Eckelbarger, Randy Ramer and Pappy Dana. We so appreciate their innovative and creative additions to our homes and Aspire Health Partners’ Kate’s Place Clubhouse, helping our residents expand their skills and enjoy outdoor spaces. We especially appreciate their gracious donation of their time, materials and talent in the design, construction and installation of the new home gardens.
