Seminar attendees were inspired by several other Dave’s House activists. Board Member Jennifer Brewer rallied the group to continue making a difference in our Central Florida community by taking action and being a proactive voice and force in positive results. Kevin Harris sang beautiful songs of hope and aspiration.
Scott Michaud, a peer counselor with Aspire Health Partners and Dave’s House resident, shared the many ways that Dave’s House is changing people’s lives, and his work to continue helping residents live successfully with serious mental illness. He presented Co-Founders Lin and Ron Wilensky with “A Simple Heart,” the first piece he created in 2009, which launched his iconic art series. It symbolizes the simple acts of love that bond us as individuals and as a community. Lin, Ron and Pam Gould gave a look ahead to 2018 initiatives and programs.
