Holiday Cheer for Our Residents

The Aspire Health Clubhouse is an important community hub for Dave’s House residents. Most of our residents participate in daily therapeutic and educational programs and have regular job assignments at the Clubhouse.

At the holidays, our staffs organize a special celebration for more than 70 transitional and Dave’s House permanent supportive housing residents. This year, two very special community partners have come together to make the event a special day for all residents, many of whom do not have family to connect with at the holidays.

St. Luke’s United Methodist Church at Windermere Women’s Group made a generous donation to ensure that each resident will get a gift card packaged with sweet holiday treats. Food for the celebration is being donated by La Madeleine French Bakery Café, Millenia Mall.

The celebration will also include music and games in addition to the delicious meal. “We are so grateful to our community partners who have stepped up to make this year’s celebration a special day. For many of our residents who have recently transitioned from being homeless, this event provides hope and inspiration for new opportunities ahead as they gain stability and stronger mental health,” said Carolyn Kreuzpainter, Supervisor for Kate’s Place Clubhouse and Dave’s House homes.
