Dave’s House Chairman of the Board Ron Wilensky and Executive Director Ellen O’Connor recently met with Orange County Mayor Jerry L. Demings, Community and Family Services Department Director Lonnie Bell and Special Assistant to Mayor Jerry L. Demings Ilia Torres, Esq. We discussed partnership opportunities for Dave’s House and Orange County to create more permanent supportive housing and expand mental health programs.

Representative Anna V. Eskamani, Florida State House District 47, recently visited Dave's House residents at Aspire Health’s Kate’s Place Clubhouse. Peer Counselor and Dave's House resident Scott Michaud shared his story about the empowerment of living in wellness. We so appreciate the mental health advocacy efforts of both Anna and Scott!

At a recent strategic planning retreat, our Board of Directors discussed initiatives to expand our permanent supportive housing homes as well as ongoing home maintenance and resident life enrichment programs. Bob Kodzis of Flight of Ideas kindly volunteered his expert guidance for this planning session. Together, we prioritized our development goals for the future.
